AMF recognizes that Directors of Instruction and other accomplished teachers need a unique array of professional services to help protect your careers and grow your businesses in challenging economic times.
     We address these specific needs in more ways than any other organization. Our primary goal is to assist instructors to maximize professional opportunities, increase job security and increase compensation. To accomplish these goals, AMF has developed numerous unique concepts, strategies and services and is continually adding more services as our members’ needs continue to evolve.

Unique Education and Networking Opportunities
Members are invited to AMF's annual Instructor Division Summit each fall and all AMF regional education events held at top facilities around the country throughout the year. Host sites have included Castle Pines, Country Club of North Carolina, Caves Valley, Baltusrol, Jupiter Hills, Medinah and Isleworth. These events offer members a unique opportunity to network with other premier teachers, gain access to teaching best practices and acquire new business and marketing strategies for growing your bottom line.
     For members who are unable to attend some of these events, AMF posts streaming video of the major presentations from each seminar on our members only website for viewing at any time at not additional cost.

Now our members may participate in education events from any computer in the world as our investment in webinar technology allows AMF to provide up-to-date information to our members at any time, anyplace and on any subject. Webinar topics focus on current issues and incorporate experts from across North America who can help out members fully understand the issues and options involved to grow their businesses and improve their teaching skills. AMF’s Instructor Division offers approximately 25 webinars annually and there is no charge participate live or to view the recorded version of each on the AMF members website.

Interactive Member's Only Website
Members can ask for and give advice on any subject to other members on our members’ only website message boards and members can access contact information for all other AMF members. The website also offers instant access to all AMF business templates, job postings and other time-sensitive information. AMF also has an instructor blog on the site that is updated each week.

Exclusive Compensation information
AMF annually conducts the most comprehensive instructor compensation survey in the industry. Members who are considering a new job – or renewing a contract – will be able to use this information for more effective negotiations. Members will receive both a full summary report and also a personalized report that matches your specific job parameters. All compensation information is protected by a strict confidentiality agreement to protect our members.
Teaching Operations Survey
AMF annually conducts the most comprehensive instructor operations survey in the industry. This document allows members to make valuable comparisons between their operation and those run by high-quality teachers at similar facilities.

Contract Review
Our staff council and our CEO, Bob Mulcahy, have reviewed hundreds of golf professional contracts. When a member’s contract comes up for review or they are considering a new job offer, AMF has the resources in place to help create the proper incentives and protections to create a contract that works for both you and your employer.
Exclusive Job Announcements
Members have exclusive access to the AMF Job Announcement Board including the ability to broadcast open positions on their staff exclusively to other AMF members. Members also receive weekly emails alerting them to job openings that have just been added, including seasonal teaching positions.

The Action Plan Template is designed as a tool to develop and convey your vision for your instruction program to the leaders of your facility. AMF has also included a template to help members develop your own comprehensive job description that properly and fully illustrates your diverse job responsibilities.    

Instructor Annual Report Template
This template has been designed to make it easy for members to develop a comprehensive annual report for your facility management and leadership that exemplifies your expertise and accomplishments.

Teaching Building Template
AMF conducted a detailed survey of our membership regarding teaching buildings. Thanks to dozens of responses, this document includes practical do's and don'ts from those who have already built an indoor teaching facility. Includes information on budgets, size and computer/camera configurations.

Resume Template
This document offers up-to-date information on presenting yourself in the best possible light to potential employers through a contemporary resume that highlights the right skills to earn you the interviews you desire.

Instructor Economic Impact Report (coming Fall 2009)
This report will make it easy for AMF members to show in detail the positive economic affect they produce for their facilities on an annual basis.

Student Satisfaction Survey Template (coming Fall 2009)
This template will explore best practices for soliciting and measuring student satisfaction regarding golf instruction programs.

Instruction Surveys by Golf Datatech
AMF has developed a exclusive relationship with Golf Datatech, the industry’s top independent research company, to conduct survey’s about the state of golf instruction. Golf Datatech surveys both golf instructors and 5,000 golfers from across the country to help AMF members gain unique insights into the mindset of golfers who take lessons and those who don’t to help develop new instruction programs and promotions that attract new students and retain current students. This report is available to all AMF members.

A variety of well-known teachers and teaching methods offer exclusive AMF member pricing to attend their seminars and certification programs designed just for instructors. Ko-Mar Productions
KO-MAR's projects have included national golf instructional DVD projects for Golf Magazine’s “Top 100 Teachers: The More Series" and Golf Digest’s “Jim McLean Drills” series.  Additionally Ko-Mar has shot with instructors including Mike Bender, David Leadbetter, Jim Flick, Laird Small, Randy Smith, Martin Hall and Dr. Gary Wiren. As an exclusive special to AMF Members KO-MAR will offer the first 100 DVD’s of the project free including packaging, authoring and encoding.

Allen O’Shea Literary Agency
The Allen O'Shea Literary Agency has a lot of experience selling golf titles. Their own extensive career experience in editorial, publishing, sales and marketing of books enhances the goals of their clients. They have sold hundreds of books to major publishers. Allen O'Shea will offer a free consultation to AMF members who may be considering writing a book. The consultation may include a review of the current market, feedback on your ideas, information about writing a book proposal and suggestions for how to create marketing leverage.

Clarity Media (Public Speaking and Presentation Training)
Like any elite performer, skilled communicators practice under the guidance of an expert coach. Clarity Media’s goal is for clients to emerge from coaching sessions appearing and sounding naturally skilled. Their coaches focus in on and build up AMF members’ strengths and replace communication roadblocks with effective strategies and techniques. Members get an exclusive discount of 20% off all training sessions. A training session normally runs three hours, but AMF members will have the exclusive option to take a two-hour session, if desired.

Member Assistance Program
Members have access to our MAP program administered by Bensinger & Dupont to provide up to three consultations at no-charge for work-related stress, alcohol or drug problems and financial issues. These benefits are also extended to our members' immediate family. These services are provided with complete confidentiality.

Out-placement Services
AMF has developed comprehensive services to assist our members when your employment status changes.  These include resume revision and development, interview strategies, assistance in the search for a new position and networking opportunities.
